The Municipality of The Hague has classified the Hornbeam in the garden of Huis Dedel as a monumental tree from 2026 onwards. Following a water reservoir and a vaulted beer cellar, this tree is now the third notable feature of the garden. The tree can be seen from 97 Jan Hendrikstraat. In addition, once the restoration of Huis Dedel is complete, the garden will be redesigned and restored to its classic appearance.
